The page called up here is the Identity Provider (IdP) of the SLUB Dresden. The IdP is used for secure login to services, so-called Service Providers (SP), which are available via the DFN-AAI. For this purpose, the IdP is connected to the SLUB Dresden user directory.
The DFN-AAI authentication and authorisation infrastructure is managed by the DFN Association. It creates the necessary relationship of trust and the organisational and technical framework for the exchange of user information between institutions (IdP) and service providers (SP operators) in the DFN-AAI.
As part of the login process, the IdP first authenticates the user. This is usually done by entering the user ID and a password. Your login details are always checked at the IdP of the SLUB Dresden. This login data is not transferred to an SP. The information required to use the SP (so-called attributes) is then transferred to the SP in question. This can be, for example, the name, e-mail address or group affiliation within the SLUB Dresden (students, employees, teaching staff, ...).
In order to implement the principle of data minimisation, many SPs only request SP-specific, persistent pseudonymous identifiers instead of clear names. To implement this, these identifiers are generated by the IdP during the registration process and stored permanently. By activating the checkbox below this text, you consent to the IdP storing the associated information. You can revoke this consent at any time by sending a declaration to the operator of the IdP by e-mail to login@slub-dresden.de. The withdrawal of consent shall not affect the lawfulness of processing based on consent before its withdrawal.
Further information on data protection can be found in the Privacy Policy.
